I know rules are rule but there has got to be an element of common sense in that kind of situation.
I'm sorry but you have to know that these two things don't fit in the same sentence.

If I remember it correctly he was told that if he was not dq due to the extra club he would be dq fir having a non conforming club due to it's short length.

Penalty.  Happened to a pro a few years back, I can't remember the details - or find it on google - but it has happened.


...pretty sure it happened to Philip Parkin in the early 90's.....not sure if it denied him victory or not ?
