Send a letter to the committee. Word it along the lines of assuming the ruling on use had changed given that you saw it in use by ****You may want to check the competition results first though to make sure he took part.
I was on the fairway adjacent to him(the correct one before chippy buts in)
They're permitted at mine in comps, though there was no formal announcement made.I asked a couple of committee members who admitted that a decision had been made to permit their use, but then the gits didn't even put a notice up.
By notice, do you mean a local rule? That's what they have to post, not a notice saying "DMDs allowed", a proper local rule (speciment kindly provided by the R&A in the Rules book). Without THAT they're still not allowed; you can't just say it and make it happen.Such inefficiency and lack of clarity would never happen in Germany of course. Perhaps you should see if there any Germans at your club willing to serve on committee as clearly the current lot are f*****g clueless.
You couldn't put a German on a committee. First of all they're very rude and would ,,,, nope,,, sorry got it wrong, they'd fit right in
If the results are posted already, am I right in saying it would now be too late to get the result changed?
Nah, they're not stupid enough. And they're never rude to me, but then I'm not English.
It's nice that they give you the sympathy vote in compensation though.
