Yep, I don't see what all the fuss is about.  It's the same driver stroke with ball further back so it's at the bottom of the downswing rather than on an upswing when it's teed and off the front foot. Just sweep it away and it's off like a rocket.

I knew the wedge was over rated

Any chance you can pass on that copy of todays golfer when I get back? shots like that could be just the thing I need to lower my scores

It's particularly good for long fairway bunker shots into the wind.  :yes:

I've used driver in the past to get a long distance low shot from amongst the trees on a nice clean lie - the ball went miles!! - and ended up in the rough near a lkae.
Decided that it was better to use a hybrid/wood/5 iron to play the long low recovery shot after that
