Yes using it as a DMD but not for getting a ruling from the R&A app I'd imagine

It's all to do with the capability of the device. I'm sure it was discussed on here recently. R&A will probably need to look at and clarify, rather than leaving it as local rule.

I spoke to our M&H Sec about it a few weeks ago. He's waiting on the R&A and SGU to get back to him on it. But he said in the meantime to uninstall the offending apps (Compass, etc)

Ah i knew i'd read something but i was away on hols so not paying attention..ta for the links.

Not sure i can uninstall compass on my phone - not that i've ever used it
