It's the new armourstorm range. First impressions are very good. Suit can be had for under £200.

We've had it a little under a week, been quite a bit of interest so far

Oldslugger has a set and from what I can remember they are very similar to Cross FTX in terms of softness and sound unlike GG which are quite noisy and stiff. Look very smart as well.

That looks like a good price Roly  the jacket alone is listed on the Under Armour site for £200 and another £112.50 for the trousers

Could be in the market for some new waterproofs for Xmas, so could be interested in these.  Are they Goretex?

No, they seemed to be polyester like outer with a rubbery like lining.

Not a very good description, guess you'll need to see them yourself.

Guy said he would have them on the rack on Friday, so I intend to go and try (just to get my size).

My GG suit is on its last legs after about five seasons - to be fair, pretty much non-stop wear over the winter months.....but having baulked at the idea of shelling out the best part of £400 for new battle fatigues......I too was looking for decent quality, smart alternatives. The Footjoy Performance Range - as per the G B & I Walker Cup side wore at the weekend, look the mutts nutz and I dont think that price-wise they are at the ridiculous end of the cost range......

G,

The Edinburgh Golf Centre always have deals on, I got my GG jacket from them in their last 25% off sale and none of the gear had been marked up before hand to compensate for the 25% off.

£250 would get you a full suit I recon
