Winter mits
« on: Dec 04, 2011, 17:12:56 »
Very fitting for today, could anyone recommend any winter mits?

I know of the usual suspects but are some better than others?

thanks in advance

Footjoy ones are great.
2011 HC 25.0>24.6>23.8>23.0>22.6>21.4>21.5>21.6

2012 HC 21.6>21.6>21.6>18.4>18.4>16.9>16.9

The options I have seen are

Titleist

Under Armour

Footjoy

Ping

Galin Green (which apparently are more of a wind-stopper and not a warm glove)

J.Lindeberg

The Titleist ones are very good as they are also waterproof.  That may well apply to the other options as well though.

I actually bought a pair today of HEAD ones from costco for a tenner as my callaway ones let in water yesterday when it was snowing/sleet and freezing cold.

The HEAD ones are for snowboarding so will be waterproof and come with a thin inner glove too for the really cold times

I've the Stuburt mits, apart from being massive they are very good. I stopped bothering with winter golf gloves as handling a wet ball made the fingers wet and bloody freezing, mits are great but make sure you secure them when you take them off, a gust of wind and they are off

To be honest, you could spend ages looking at them and they all do a decent job. I've got Callaway ones but they're no better or worse than any other that I've tried. Just buy a pair.

The options I have seen are

Titleist

Under Armour

I have a pair of Titleist (not the ones you have listed) which are mitts on the outside but inside they have separate sections for each digit. They are also magnetic so ideal to stick together and rest on the bag. Very warm and waterproof. A lot thicker than the ones you have listed.

On really cold days use the handwarmers.

Footjoy

Ping

Galin Green (which apparently are more of a wind-stopper and not a warm glove)
