We played the first ever M(S)G Open there in 2007 and I thought that it was a really nice course, and one that I'd definitely recommend to anyone.  The closing stretch of holes from 16- 18 are especially good, and the amount of wildlife around the course is amazing, especially when you have to shoo a heard of deer off of the fairway so that you can play your approach shot!

I didn't like it when i played it 3 years ago. Long and wet but not in a good way ??? But I guess a lot of that was down to my ability at the time. I played it off 21 (i think) or was it 24.

I did get NTP on the last thanks to Mike (but that's another story)

And it can be a slow round :chuckle: Especially if you stop for dinner at the halfway hut :lol:

Quite a few of the guys played it this year i think....so they'll have up to date info.

We stayed in a place near West Midlands golf course, but there were a dozen or so of us, and the only curry house nearby was actually not too bad.

Somebody with some semblance of memory will clear up all the details (which is what you were asking)

Season 1 24.1 -> 16.8 1 medal
Season 2 16.8 -> 14.1 2 medals
Season 3 14.1 -> 12.5 Lanark Open
Season 4 12.5-12.6-12.3 2nd Bruce Sharp Trophy
Season 5 12.3-12.5 'Wasted Year'
Season 6 12.5-

There is an Indian on the A45 which is quite close to the forest of Arden or you could go to solihull which is only 15mins away.

I carry clubs but cant use any of them

I enjoyed it, like Stu said, wildlife is awsome, was walking a foot away side by side with deer down one of the fairways! Some really great holes on the back 9 i thought, lovely condition and the layout was awsome too. Nothing i didnt like about it apart from the par 3 you drive past on the way in, other than that top layout i thought.

 We ate at Burger King at a service station on the way back, so as far as that goes, can reccomend a Supersized whopper meal with a coke...
