Fieldsy, it's upwards of 80 reps. That's  just squats, about the same each leg on lunges and the rest of tge body. You try it.

I can do it TP. So can you.

Yeah, but I want to prep for it outside the class. I don't know if cycling helps the right muscle groups for example.

so do squats with no weights outside the class, then you will be preping yourself for when you do them in it.

why would want to undertake a cadrio activity help you with squating, which is a compound move?

If I were you i would start doing them easy (i.e. with no weights), then build up you reps until you get to the amount you need, introduce weights to make it harder; keep doing that until you can do them in the classes.
If you do it that way then you will be targeting what you want to improve; instead of undertaking stuff that will only inadvertently be targeting what you want to improve

Well done scott, keep at it

I went for my first run (5.5miles) since last Christmas on Sunday and then most a spare day today by going to the gym for a 60min row. I only managed a meagre 14373m (1.4km less than my best!) which i think was mainly down to using a low drag setting. I will need to get back on it now.

Well that's why I'm asking - I'll do squats every morning without weights to try to make progress.

I'm walking like a t**t, standing up and stairs are agony! :chuckle:

Had my first kickboxing class tonight. Was heavy going but enjoyed it a lot so will keep it going. All being well it should shed off the weight I want to shift and also build up a lot of the right muscles to help my game.

I can lose a pound in the WC.

Are you serious about this fitness regime you are on? Do you spend as much time doing exercises as you do uncorking another bottle of Pinto Noir? Just seems a pointless exercise if you are downing wine like Prohibition is round the corner.

Yes, but you cant lose a pound every week for ten weeks that way.

I'm losing weight and getting fitter, the idea is its a slow process and therefore easy to maintain rather than a dramatic lifestyle change.  The problem is the afterwork culture hit me like a tonne of bricks, so I'm happy to be on track again inspite of the wine.

Project fatf*cker now officially ended. Got something new and, possibly, more exciting on the horizon hence my absence recently. Doubt I'll be round much (no bad thing) but I hope to see some of you soon :)

Down to 13st 7lb from 14st 8lb when I started kickboxing a couple of months ago.

Going to knock it on the head I think though as I lose interest once we move away from the fitness work. Going to check out two classes nearer to me run by a PT. Circuit training on a Monday and Boxing\Kettlebells on a Wednesday.

Right I've got fat over the last 6 months and have made the decision to do something about it.

Start of the week I was 85.9kg this morning I was 84.8kg. I should lose 2kg a month 79kg is my goal.

I'm 80.8kg at the moment. So 4kg lighter in 5 months.
