Title: Adams Driver
Post by: 3puttwizard on Jul 28, 2008, 12:58:29
Has anyone hit the Adams 9015D Proto Driver?

Mr Howell III uses one from what I've seen...

9016D Proto is used by the animals on the RE/AX Long drive championships
(lofts of 5.5  :omg:, 6.5,7.5,8.5)

[No I'm not getting one before you start]

I had one of them and they're powerful but set up real open so if you favor a fade like me you could be rather buggered

Nice feeling club but I'd go for a Speedline Classic if you can get your hands on one

3PW will be alright with that - he keeps the right hand side out of play.

Robin - I thought you had one!  I thought that was the driver you took to Scotland last year....

haha hookmaster eh ;) ?

They are good but the Classic was better for me as the face was squarer at about 1* open unlike the 2.5* of the 9015d

ahaha I've had 2

Version 1 8.5* and a Version 2 9.5* both awesome

I might come back for a 3rd though as I have an NV95x to install and this might be a perfect combo ;)

I've tried it and wasn't impressed. In saying that the shafts weren't right for me ( or even close). Its a very nice head and I don't think it looks all that open? I might get a hit on Saturday with a shaft that allows me to give better feedback.

Almost everyone I know who has tried it likes it/loves it.

It has to be the right shaft, I need a BB73x and had a UST V2 76x which was tipped 1/2" and that was ok but not the same to me by a long way as it threw the feel waaaaay off
