MSG Ryder Cup 2012 - Predict the Results!

As a bit of fun ahead of the upcoming MSG Ryder Cup, I thought I would set up a predict the result competition so that those not playing can also get involved in the fun.

MGL and gripmyshaft have very kindly offered to donate a couple of small prizes so that the winner and runner-up can have something to show for their achievement, so a big thanks to those guys for their continued generosity.   


The format will be as follows:

All of the matches are listed below, and all you have to do is predict the result of each match, including the score (e.g. North 3&2, South 1up, All Square).  This will then also give you your predictions for the Day 1 winner and score, Day 2 winner and score, and overall winner and score.


Points will be awarded as follows:

Correct match result and score = 15pts
Correct match result but wrong score = 5pts

Correct Day 1 winner and score = 10pts
Correct Day 1 winner but wrong score = 5pts

Correct Day 2 winner and score = 10pts
Correct Day 2 winner but wrong score = 5pts

Correct Overall winner and score = 20pts
Correct Overall winner but wrong score = 10pts

In case of a tie, countback will be decided as follows:  Correct overall winner, correct Day 2 winner, correct Day 1 winner, most exact correct scores.

The post below contains the prediction entry form, so please quote my post and update it with your own team name and predictions.  I have included a sample prediction in the following post as an example. 

If you want to change your predictions once you have made them, please make a new post rather than editing the old one.  Any edits made to posts will not be counted and the original prediction will stand.  If any of the players drop out and are replaced between now and the event all predictions already made will carry over to the new match, or you can submit a new set of predictions by a new post.

Competition entry is open to all members, including those playing in the event itself (but we will be suspicious if you correctly predict a 10&8 loss in your own match...).

Entries for the competition will close at Midnight on Wednesday 29th August.
