Ecco shoe sizing
« on: Jan 23, 2013, 13:07:20 »
I've been tempted by a pair of these for a long time

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ECCO-GOLF-SHOES-ULTRA-PERFORMANCE-HYDROMAX-EU-44-/300848760340?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Golf_GolfShoes_UK&var=&hash=item460bfbc614

Anybody knows how their sizes compare with Footjoy?

I had the goretex version of these shoes and I found them run big 1/2 a size. I'm a UK 10 in FJ & Adidas but the 10's I bought of the Eccos were too big.

Some sellers will list the sellers incorrectly so it's better to go by the European sizes.

I just bought a pair of the World Class Eccos at Xmas and I ordered the EU 44's which are labelled as a UK 9.5

The 3 pairs of Goretex and 1 pair of 'Comfort' ones I've had/have have been spot on for sizing and same as FJ. The 1 World Class pair I've had/have was a shade large.

Really comfy shoes.

Thanks. So it looks like their sizing is all over the gaff so I'd better make sure I try them on first.

I'm normally 9.5 in FJ and my streets are 43/size 9.

I would strongly suggest trying them on. I've always fancied a pair of Ecco World class and more recently the Bioms, but have never been able to get a pair that fits just right. I'm a 10½ in FJ, always fitted perfectly.

I am a 9.5 in FJ's and a 44 in Eccos. Also find Adidas come up smaller than any other shoes and can even be an 11 in those. Just goes to show how we all find it works a bit differently depending on foot shape

Defo worth finding somewhere to try first as even within Eccos, the Bioms feel different to the regular street shoes and you also need to work out of you like the fabric or leather linings on them - I prefer fabric
