« on: Apr 17, 2016, 22:33:28 »
Anyone tried it and can recommend a UK based fitter
WITB
TM M2 9.5 with Oban HB Kiyoshi
Calloway Epic Graphite Design g series
Hybrids Callaway 815 18/20/23 Accra hybrid Stiff flex
Irons Mizuno MP18SC KBS Tour V +1/2"
Loads of Vokey wedges !!..and several putters...of which I am having most success with old Yes Callie 36" Superstroke mid size grip...probably had this putter for at least 10+yrs!

I haven't tried it however if you go on the edel website they list the fitters.

My mate was thinking of doing it and I believe there is one in Glasgow - not any use for you David but he did say there were a fair few in the UK.

I would assume with the whole DeChambeau factor more will become available as demand grows.
Bag contains:
clubs - 12 of.
a few baws (yelly yins)
loads of broken tees
1 half drunk bottle of flat juice.
foosty chuggy

Watched a few Youtube videos about their putter fitting methodology and I think the putters are around £300 minus the fitting fee so would bring the price down to the price off an off the rack Scotty and the top Odyssey ones...issue will be to find someone close as I think from looking at the website Cambridge seems to be the closest to me which isn't that close

Just as a side note the owner I spotted that David Edel is on the waiting list to join my club in St Andrews, need to keep an eye out for him when he gets in  :D

I know I'm pretty much a traditionalist but I have to say the putters I've seen look horrific !  Is the whole Edel putter thing not just a bit of a "fad?" .... :eyebrow:

What I thought looked pretty good was the fitting/alignment test dependant on head shape and alignment aids with the laser and the use of weights in the grip and shaft...and tbh there are no other putter brands that go in for a decent fitting process (unless you want to fly off to the Scotty shop in California for a putter fitting!!)

There's some fantastic things for the whole family - San Diego Zoo is great for a whole day, a trip out to see Hotel Del Coronado ( Some like it Hot - Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis ) , go visit the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier , Torrey Pines isn't too far for a great breakfast or brunch and a mahoosive Pro Shop  , if the Missus wants Outlet Shopping then a drive down to Tijuana is well worth it too, the Gaslamp Quarter  is great at night for restaurants and walking around......loads to see and do....great holiday destination Scott.

BOT - I think Jamie Donaldson is the fitter in Cambridge David. He is highly regarded, and also a fully certified Aimpoint instructor, the top man in the UK. Can't really comment on the Edel puters although I remember on my first aimpoint course Mark Sweeney was using one.

I think Jamie is the distributor not sure he does the fitting though
