Matirx Ozik code -7 driver shaft
« on: Apr 26, 2018, 11:50:17 »
The 915 I recently acquired came with the above shaft, can't see anywhere on it that tells me the flex ??

Going to have a bash with it later but it feels a bit stiffer than I would use.

It's on a sticker under the grip.

They are quite smooth shafts if I recall, so there's a chance it might be a mans flex  :chuckle:.  Not had a Code 7, but had code 8's in FW's.  Think it's mid launch/ mid spin.

Pretty sure they came in stiff, stiff plus and x flex - then obviously could be tipped to anything!

If sort of rubberised finished ones were pretty good, but did wear quite easily which will be you an idea how many times it's been around the block.

It looks mint  ;)

If I don't like it I guess It will be easy to move on anyway.

Yes both flex and actual CPM's on sticker under the grip. They also made a strong flex which sat between stiff and x-stiff

Code was nicknamed "the hinge" as designed to feel a distinct loading of shaft. If it feels too stiff then it almost certainly is too stiff with that design

So how easy is would it be to bring it down to a firm flex ? (currently play PX 5.5 shaft) ?

tie a brick to the driver head?!   It would take a lot of weight, depending on the actual flex.  Or you could lengthen it but that might f up strike location for you.
