Spikeless shoes
« on: Jun 26, 2018, 14:16:58 »
I’m loking for opinion on what you guys think are the best gripping spikeless shoes out there. I find my Eccos great in the winter but the soikes seem to disintegrate and are a paint to get out. I wear a pair of dryjoy spikeless shoes in summer but I’ve found that if I have a early teetime I can find myself losing my footing on the dew covered grass. I also find the spikless shoes are more comfortable and cooler to wear.

So to the eventual point what spikless shoes would you recommend for good grip and comfort.

I've got a pair of the Pro SL BOA's.....they are sooooo comfortable but I've got no idea how they perform in damp/wet conditions.....have absolutely no complaints about them on dry days or on mats on the range....they are just as grippy....if not more than a pair of shoes with "normal" soft spikes.

Difficult to recommend as I only buy footjoys- always found them comfortable straight out of the box.

I haven’t had any issues with the three pairs - various models - of their spineless ones I wear winter and summer

Something to have a look at there. For wet/damp days I’ll go with spikes. Just want some grip early on nice days when the dew is still there.

I have some of these: https://www.golfonline.co.uk/puma-golf-mens-ignite-shoes?stock_id=136852.

I tend to play very early and these are fine for driving to the course, play and home again.  Not slipped yet and have been waterproof.

I’ll check out the ones they have in American golf in Irvine when I get over. Played tonight wearing the footjoys and no issues but was lipping all over the place on Sunday morning.  :thumbup1:

I've got a pair of Nike Lunar Control Vapor - the Rory ones with the strange looking wave type sole that Nike call "Articulated Integrated Traction". Not sure they are what you would call the traditional spikeless shoe, and I don't wear them to and from the course, but they are very comfortable, great grip in both damp and dry and waterproof.

Pair of Footjoy ProSL shoes for £120 from american golf. Thanks for the recommendations. I liked the nike ones as they have a good bit of grip but the footjoys always sem to get me on fit and look

I love the sand belt but it's not good for keeping up trousers in the rain...
