Have only heard bad things about Clarke, especially during the lead-up to his wife's death and immediately after it.

Plenty of rumours around Wallace in the past.

Sergio's not been quite as bad as people think this year and normally plays well in the Ryder Cup.  I suspect Casey, Poulter, Stenson and Sergio will get the nod due to the relative lack of experience in the Euro team.

Intrigued!

I've always been a Clarke fan and never heard anything bad about him, maybe I had my head  in the sand!
He was a poor captain though.

extended to 4 picks to accommodate form players and not one form player selected...

cop out - he's left out all form / borderline automatic players (Knox, Wallace, Rafa and Pieters)

Knox sitting 8th in race to Dubai with fewer events played than anyone else in the top 20, including one win and a runner up on the same course the RC is being played. Unreal not picking him.

Wallace has won 3 times this season including 7 birdies in last 8 holes to win in Denmark when he was told he needed to impress to get in. Still not picked.

Injured Stenson and an off form Garcia with terrible putting stats this year. Not agreeing with that

I certainly see where you are coming from but Wallace is sitting in 17th position in the race to Dubai with 3 wins!! Begs the question where the hell has he been for the other events. If the winning Wallace was to show up happy days if the other one turns up he might run out of balls!

On this year's form, having garcia in will more than probably be the latter wallace. at least you have a chance of the good wallace turning up

 :roulette:

Me being dumb re Clark RC captaincy....a "senior" moment...but I agree with the sentiment re the very safe selection....even if Wallace has a dodgy past...the way he plays he is like Poulter...as the movie quote says..he definitely doesn't lack the "minerals"!!

Garcia playing rubbish and Stenson patchy and injured...and Casey I think bottles it under the pressure of the last few holes...

Back USA to win by at least 3

Not a good idea to share all of the DC stories (most of which are true I'm afraid....) on a public forum Robin  :eyebrow:

Why, what’s his screen name on here and does he often log in?! Part and parcel of being in the public eye and not being squeaky clean IMO.
