Just watched the highlights on beeb.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hadn't seen much of the course before this as don't have sky but to me it looked like they set it up perfectly. Greens not silly speeds and rough penal enough.

Good shots were rewarded.

All in all thought it was excellent.

Good event, right result.

American's over confident / arrogant, plus their big players on the whole didn't perform. Europe played well as a group and again showed that team spirit and bonding can overcome world rankings. Furyk seemed to be a bit dull and short on ideas, didn't seem to have a plan as to what to do with his picks and had odd pairings (other than the best mates of JT and Speith who sounded like they said didn't want to play with anyone else, which possibly wasn't the best for the team). Their lack of preparation on the course also seemed very telling, making poor strategy choices on lots of occasions.

Bjorn did well, good plan to move the spectator ropes back to provide more deep rough to punish the US bombers. Course looked great, brilliant for matchplay especially the last few holes (although Mollinari and Fleetwood never saw them!). Mollinari was unbeliveable - I don't ever remember anyone winning 5 points before, especially from a guy who had only ever won half points in the past. The European picks delivered the goods and the US ones didn't. Must have been hard for Bjorn to leave out Thunderbear on Saturday, but he came good yesterday.

Really would like to play the course

It's good but flipping difficult.
These boys make it look easy - it's one of the hardest courses I've ever played.
3rd tee shot is narrow thin, rough left, water right
4 is thin and 2nd shot massively uphill.
7 tee shot is flipping difficult
9 is a joke - made a good 7 there, probably had 4 chips from around the green.
10 is a lot harder then it looks.
13 you need to hit it to a spot the size of my head to have a shot and then the 2nd is tough as
15 - impossible - just walk to 16.
Made par on 16 - would of beaten Phil there too!
17 - I flushed a driver and nailed a 4 iron and we were 50 yards in front of the pros. These boys are hitting it a different planet to us lot. Rahm flicking a wedge in - beggars belief.
18 - narrow narrow narrow and if you do find the fairway it's a bloody imtidating 2nd. 180 yards say, these boys cruise a 7 iron there no problem. I'm having to nut a 5 iron and hope for the best.

Play it once, tick it off, but jesus, take plenty of balls.

Worse for that woman Koepka hit ... apparently she fractured her eye socket and her eyeball exploded, so she's blind in that eye now.
