Tiger Woods Crash
« on: Feb 24, 2021, 10:40:07 »
Was shocked and saddened to hear about Tigers accident yesterday evening. Whilst I'm not a Tiger fanboi, his comeback has been amazing after all the surgeries and injuries he's had to overcome, and I did enjoy his Masters win.

Oddly enough I thought he looked terrible and up to his eyes on painkillers when he was on TV on Sunday doing his hosting duties. Hopefully he wasn't under the influence when he was driving and he makes a full recovery.

Interesting thing is that the police guy on the news said there wasn't any sign of braking...

If he had bones sticking out of skin, was able to tell them his name and seemed OK, ie not screaming in agony, it should have been fairly obvious that he was absolutely out of his gourd?
I'm possibly more surprised they didn't shoot him than I am at them not drawing blood  :chuckle:

I see it has been reported that Tiger was going 84-87mph at the time of his crash - on a 45mph road. Sounds like he likes to thrash a rental car as much as the rest of us.

Surely if he was anyone else he'd be facing Police charges??? Just saying...

No charges as no witnesses according to the media.

Also surmised he hit accelerator instead of brake pre accident as no skid marks.

Sounds like he was quite lucky to survive it.

No charges is baffling. Imagine recovering the black box from a stricken plane, seeing it crashed because of pilot error and then saying no charges as there wasn't someone suitably qualified still alive sitting in the cockpit next to the pilot when he made a hash of things.

About time the famously tight cheapskate got a driver as he’s clearly a bit shite behind the wheel of any car he drives.
