The Open Championship - 2021
« on: Jul 12, 2021, 17:31:24 »
I shall not be bothering the bookies this week as I have absolutely zero idea who might win, or even contend  :D

St Georges is just that kind of course where the form book counts for little and I guess the weather will play its part too.

Who do you fancy to prevail this week at Sandwich?

maybe its a case of lumping on some high odds individuals who have show some smattering of form and hoping they do well in the early rounds so an odds movement allows you to lay them or cash out a profit?

Hard not to have Rahm in the list, and my heart wants to plump for Westy. Be interesting to see if the wind dies down for Rory with his late tee time (as it often does in the early evening on links courses as the tide changes).

I think there are going to be be some big numbers run up this week and the winner will be the guy who makes the fewest doubles!

I think Rahm is going to struggle...I just have a feeling that this course is too much for his game and/or he will blow up. 100% agree about Westwood and would dearly love to see him win where his good mate DC did 10 years ago.....that would be some story.

Could be a decent week for Sergio to shine maybe?

2 great picks there Robin  :thumbup1:

Smith looks like the only one with any chance. The big boys are getting into position.
Louis looks very comfortable with his game

What a flat day for poor old Louis.

Fine win from Morikawa…..definitely the real deal.

By the way. If anyone finds the REAL Rory McIlroy can you let us golf fans know where he is?!
