3 new LIV players to be announced this week as they have confirmed 45 for next week's event

I hope they bag Cam Smith to really stick it to the PGA Tour.

Stenson is or should I say was skint and needed the money badly after loosing 30 million before buying fake art after listening to his mate and another shitty investment.

It wasn’t anywhere near $30m he lost Gary.

Stenson lost $8m in the Allen Stanford “ponzi” scheme back in 2010 but he won the FedEx 3 years later which was a $10m bonus at the time, plus he had other wins that would have doubled that figure for 2013/2014.

Don’t know anything about any art investments though.

Problem is that he ain’t the sharpest stick in the box……

I'd also heard he lost $20m in a fake art scam.  Amazing what some of these guys get involved with!!

Story came directly from Fleetwoods caddy Fino who's a member at West Lancs and plays with a good mate of mines Steve who came up for a couple of days and bunked in with us at the Open as he'd sorted him tickets for it so I'd give it more credence than normal tour gossip but who knows it could be all bull

As expected Cameron Smith has been confirmed at a LIV Golf player today and will play in the next event in Boston.

Rory is certainly keeping his end of the bargain up for the PGA Tour - what a finish Sunday night!

Not sure I actually care about LIV anymore, thought it was a bit interesting to start with but not sure I'll be tuning in to watch them in Boston.

if he got $100m that is over 3 times his total earnings from the PGA. that for nothing, why wouldn't he join?
aso be playing against a smaller weaker field so if he is the best player to go over its double bubble. I don't understand why the press expects them to stay.

Will it make me watch it, most probably not.
I carry clubs but cant use any of them

With LIV Golf the payments reported are spread over 4 years and not an up front sum. So if Cameron Smith got $100m (Personally I suspect it was a lot more given he is Open Champion and World #2 golfer in the rankings - plus his Management Company have other LIV golfers in their stable too) he'll have to play for 4 years to get all the money, plus any winnings too of course.

I still believe the tipping point is when (or, IF) half the top 10 players leave the PGA Tour for LIV.....but let's see if that happens, or not!

Any top 10 golfers joining LIV will - unless they play Asian Tour events - start dropping out of the top 10 as they can’t earn ranking points.

Sounds as if DPWT are getting childish not having any LIV golfers play in the Pro Am at Wentworth

Also it appears to me that the PGA Tor have shafted the DPWT with their new plans which will enhance the US Tour to the detriment of Europe with their even larger prize funds and higher ranking events.
Major qualification via World Ranking position will become more difficult unless ou play on the PGA Tour
